David Terrell Singleton (b. 1831) was the son of Dr. Joseph Singleton, Director of the U.S. Mint at Dahlonega, Georgia. He entered the freshman class at the University of Georgia in 1848 and was a member of the Demosthenian society, although he left the University after his junior year.
